Robin, I really enjoyed browsing through your website. I was 11 years old and at camp (in Massachusetts) during the summer of 1970. That was when I first got really into music and the music was incredible that summer and fall (War, Patches, Lola, In The Summertime, Montego Bay, Share The Land, Green-Eyed Lady, Fire and Rain, If You Let Me Make Love to You, Oooh Child, Indiana Wants Me, I'll Be There, Ball of Confusion and tons more) It was quite an eclectic time in music and I vividly remember Lay a Little Lovin on Me in the mix. In fact, if I remember correctly, and please don't take offense, there was even a debate at camp over whether Robin McNamara was a male or female. Anyway I just wanted to tell you that, to this day, I still know the whole song by heart. Thanks for being part of that time.
Around the same time I played my parent's copy of Hair practically into dust. I just adored that record even though I had no idea what half the songs were about. I used to walk around the house singing "Sodomy." God knows what the neighbors thought. Anyway, time goes by and now my son is in a production of Hair at Laguardia H.S. (the "Fame" school) in Manhattan opening next week. Some "Hair" veterans (Natalie Mosco, Robert Something) who worked on the original show, have been involved in the production. And, after all these years I'm finally going to see the show performed. I know the score by heart. I'm looking forward to finally seeing it. Thanks for maintaining such an enjoyable website and keep up the good work.--David
