Of course, no less than five songs from "Hair" became Top 40 hits, and many others became well-known. Yet it surprises me that one of the show's truly great numbers - "Where Do I Go?" (the first-act finale, if I'm not mistaken) - didn't become a big hit and isn't often performed outside the show (at least that I've heard). Does anyone here know of any recordings, or notable performances, of this song aside from the cast album? Thanks.

Hi,
"Where Do I Go" is one of the strongest tracks in Hair, and I agree that it should've been one of the hits from the musical. I personally don't know of any other recordings/performances of this great track, but maybe someone else will. If so, I'd be interested to hear about it myself!
Thanks, Laura

Hi
"Where Do I Go" is a powerful song that does close the 1st act. I did a recording of it on "Divine Hair Mass In F" with the cast & also over a hundred voices in the boys quire at St John Divine church in New york. It was an actual mass that took place. What a magical day it was, it ended up with over 10,000 people singing "Let The Sunshine In"
Peace Robin

When I obtained my own copy of the "Hair" OBC album, the one track I played the most wasn't one of the "big" numbers, but - yes - "Where Do I Go?"
