Robin: I recently obtained a copy of the book "The Best Plays of 1967-1968." Its summary of the New York season naturally included much about the off-Broadway and B'way productions of "Hair" (though the script itself wasn't chosen as one of the Best Plays). The editor, Otis Guernsey, noted how the off-B'way version was directed "with acute sensibility" by Gerald Freedman, and the B'way version was directed "with wild excitement" by Tom O'Horgan. Now, of course, you were in the B'way show, but did you see the off-B'way version? If so, do you agree with Guernsey's assessment? Thanks.
