Robin: My local oldies station airs 1970s episodes of Casey Kasem's American Top 40 every Sunday. Today, it aired a show from July 1970. Your "Lay A Little Lovin' On Me" was in the 20s, and your castmate Ronnie Dyson's "Why Can't I Touch You" was only two positions behind! Not only that, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young had TWO songs in the Top 20 , the Beatles'"Long and Winding Road" was still on the chart, Bread and the Jackson 5 were in the Top 10 and the #1 song was by ... the Carpenters! Those. Were. The. Days.
